We’ve had a lovely relaxing time and the accommodation was fabulous – everything we could possibly need and such a high standard of decoration and cleanliness. We enjoyed some great days out but also some lovely days locally – cycling to the nearby villages for morning coffee and afternoons in the garden.

From the rain soaked city of Cambridge a family of four set sail to find a week of adventure in the heart of Normandy. Under brilliant blue skies, laden with plump white clouds we spent a relaxing week at La Mancellière. A trip to the beach to search for crabs, a climb to the top of Mont St Michel for moules et frites, a walk in the forest to hunt for wombats! And always to be greeted by our smiling hosts Ged & Lisa. Perfick! Thank you.

We had a wonderful time here. The house was perfect for our two families beautiful yet practical, we had everything we needed. There’s been loads to see in the region - Mont St Michel, Dinard beach, St Malo, the local market, Domfront - all excellent, but what was really special was not feeling you had to go out to enjoy the day as we spent much needed relaxing time in the garden and in this beautiful home. Thank you Ged & Lisa!

We have all enjoyed a wonderful week’s holiday here at La Mancelliere. The farmhouse is really comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished and wonderfully clean! The grounds are also fabulous. The children particularly enjoyed playing in the garden. The farmhouse is not only a great place to return to after a long day out sightseeing, but a lovely place to spend the whole day! Thank you Lisa and Ged for your hospitality! We hope to return one day!

All made possible by the location of La Mancelliere and all made more enjoyable by Ged & Lisa. Wonderful accommodation to rest in after a hard day’s touring, beautiful home from home. Garden for children to rest in and pester the nicknamed ‘Farmer Ged’ and ‘lovely Lisa’ (Ted aged 2).

Wonderful accommodation, Ged & Lisa were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Very homely, great ‘away from it all’ location but within easy reach of our needs. During our stay the weather was fantastic, spent most of our holiday on the beautiful beaches around the bay of Mont St Michel. Great base to explore the beautiful countryside and historic towns of both Normandy and Brittany. Good time was had by all and we will certainly recommend La Mancelliere to friends and family.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful place. Having stayed in many villas, gites and cottages, it is so nice to walk into a spotless and welcoming place. The children loved playing in the garden and we enjoyed ourselves so much we are now moving next door for a week and hoping to book to come back at New Year. Thank you for everything.

One week was not enough in this lovely place. Best beach can be found at Anse du Verger - take your own picnic! Enchanted village - great fun - zip wires a must!!

Ged & Lisa - fab hosts. Can’t wait to come back for a two week hol next year. Miss it already.

What a nice place to spend a short break! Despite the mixed bag of weather we found plenty to do, all within easy reach of the villa. The Auberge at the entrance to The Enchanted Village we can highly recommend - had one of our best meals there.

Really lovely hosts & made us feel very welcome. Great accommodation & nice big garden for Thomas to run around in.

Great cosy villa - perfect for a quiet relaxing break end of season. Beautiful property and amazing garden. Loved the tee-light candles. Comfy beds and luxurious duvet! Exceptionally welcoming and accommodating hosts. Easy reach of Mont St. Michel. Enjoyed ‘Calva’ tasting in Domfront and market day in St. Hilaire.

Thanks for being so welcoming and helping to make this such a fantastic week. What a good idea to celebrate our “special” birthdays here. Brilliant fun in a fab place.

Fantastic time - very relaxing. Beautiful place. Thanks to you both. Highly recommended.

Brilliant holiday accommodation, thanks. Something for us all but the six girls just wanted to stay here... we managed to visit some local towns and the market in St Hilaire on Wednesday was worth a visit. Loved our meals in the evening all sitting round the table, wonderful.

We had a lovely week. Ged & Lisa are great hosts and always willing to oblige! Weather was amazing for April, we only had two showers of rain the whole week.

Cancale was pretty and the mussels were delicious. The highlight of the week was Arromanches and Longues-sur-Mer. The museum and 360° Cinema are well worth the entrance fee. Good luck for the future and I hope that the seeds all grow into lovely vegetables!!

We celebrated our Ruby Wedding in your lovely farmhouse, thank you many, many times. - Thanks for a wonderful time, enjoying the singing birds, bleating sheep and beautiful flowers in the garden - we enjoyed our stay in your lovely house! The kids were very happy too!! A lot of nice memories to take home...

Lovely old house! We enjoyed it very much: Cooking in the open kitchen for ten, chatting at the fireplace under ‘Anna’ - Surely the finest of French retreats - We enjoyed it very much, especially the sounds of the chickens and the lovely sheep. Dank jullie wel!

A second lovely stay at La Mancelliere and we’re sure it won’t be our last. Again we struggled to pack everything in but we’ve had a really good go. From lazy days in elegant St Malo and Dinard to great days for the boys at the Enchanted Village and Alligator Bay. Then of course, as the heat headed skywards on Thursday and Friday, two beautiful days on the beaches of Normandy and Brittany. It is always wonderful to end a holiday on a high note and that is certainly the case with our day on Anse du Verger followed by an early evening aperitif and dinner overlooking the harbour at Cancale - beautiful!

La Mancelliere was superb. Nice garden, as well as the accommodation. We found Fougeres and Mortain especially beautiful and interesting medieval cities. One also should pay a visit to Cancale and St Malo. The food was exceptionally fine. The market at St Hilaire de Harcouet on Wednesdays is worth paying a visit. - A special plus to all the supermarkets in the surroundings because the food dishes are very tempting (especially the fish department as well as the winery). Everything has been an adventure, now heading back to Paris!
