Payment:

Prices are in pounds or euros for the property per night to endeavour to give you the best offer we can. If you would like to pay in other currencies, we will provide prices at the latest exchange rate.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or by cheque in UK pounds or euros. Alternatively, we can take payment by credit or debit card via PayPal or directly through PayPal. Payments via PayPal will incur a small charge.

All prices include towels, tea towels and quality bed linen with duvets and pillows. We also provide dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, washing powder and fabric conditioner.

Wood for the Cottage fire is provided and additional supplies are available for a small fee.

There is a small surcharge for central heating. This can be arranged when making your booking.

To keep our prices low, we can close off the large family room in the Old Dairy and rent the property for 4-6 people. This option may not be available at peak times.

Late payment for any reason will entitle us to re-let the property for those periods and if full payment and security deposit have not been received by your arrival date, the keys will not be made available.

Deposit:

A deposit of 25% of the total price is required to secure your booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival. This applies unless you are taking advantage of a special offer at the time of making your booking.

If you are booking with fewer than 8 weeks to your arrival date then the full payment is due to secure your booking.

Cancellation:

All payments (apart from the security deposit, see below) are non-refundable. If a cancellation is made within a reasonable time it is possible for both parties to agree to re-arrange a reservation for a reasonable alternative date, depending on season and cost.

If we manage to rent the property for your initial dates to a different party, we will return your payment minus any discount / special offer / reduction that was necessary to rent the property for this time.

We recommend that all our guests have adequate travel insurance.

If for some reason an exceptional circumstance occurs and we have to cancel your reservation, all payments will be returned to you in full.

Security deposit:

A security deposit of £300 / €400 euros for the Old Dairy and £150 / €200 euros for the Cottage is required at the same time as the balance, unless we have agreed an alternative time. This will be returned to you 7-14 days after your departure, provided all is well with the property. Any damages of amounts greater than the security deposit must be paid for immediately.

The amount of the security deposit (along with the cost of the rental) will increase if you bring one or more pets with you. Pets are only allowed with our express permission and this will depend on the circumstances.

It is your responsibility to leave the property in the same condition and state of cleanliness as you found it, otherwise a cleaning charge will be taken out of your security deposit.

It is your responsibility not to overuse gas, electric or water. Meters are read before your arrival and after your departure and, if excess amounts of gas, electric or water are used, then the cost of the difference between this amount and the average for your group size will be taken out of your security deposit.

Arrivals and changeover day:

Our week runs from Saturday to Saturday although we can be flexible, depending on existing bookings and time of year. In order for us to prepare the property, check in time is from 5pm. We kindly ask that you check out by 10am.

Rubbish:

There are no refuse collections at La Mancelliere, as is the case with many areas of rural France, so it is your responsibility to take your rubbish and recycling to the waste points. This information is provided for you at the property.

Our responsibilities:

Everything possible will be done to maintain the high standard of our properties and site in general. Should an unforeseen circumstance arise, for which the owners have little or no control, the owners will do everything feasible to correct the situation. In the unlikely event that such a situation has occurred, the owners do not accept any form of responsibility and therefore no claims can be made against them.
